About Us
What to Expect

Welcome!

If you’re a new patient, chances are you have lots of questions about what to expect before and during your first visit. Here are answers to some of the questions that many of our patients ask. If your question isn’t listed below, please don’t be afraid to ask a member of our team. That’s why we’re here—to help in any way we can.

How do I make an appointment?

Call us at 518-886-5600 and we will schedule an appointment at a time that’s convenient for you. We also will give you some basic information so you know what to expect. If you have questions, we’re happy to answer them. Same-day sick visits are available for established patients. All others please call 886-5600 for first available appointment.

What information should I bring with me?

We will go over this with you when you call for your appointment. Here are some of the items we will ask you to bring, if you have them.

  • An insurance card, if you have any type of insurance, including Medicare or Medicaid.
  • A photo ID
  • A list of any medicine that you take

What if I don’t have any insurance?

We will help you apply for free or low-cost insurance. To do that, we will need some financial information from you.

What if I can’t afford my co-pay or if I have a high deductible?

We don’t want concerns about cost to prevent you from coming in for healthcare. We offer financial assistance and bill on a sliding scale, based on your ability to pay. Many of our patients qualify for help with all or part of their bill.

Why do I sometimes see a nurse practitioner (NP) instead of my doctor?

Our nurse practitioners are important and highly qualified members of our healthcare team. They have the education, training, and experience to meet most of your routine healthcare needs. They can perform physicals, diagnose problems, prescribe medicine, and work with you to help you get and stay healthy. Having them on our team also means we can see more patients—sooner. That makes a big difference when you’re not feeling well and want to be taken care of as quickly as possible.
